Our Story

Kevin and Meghan went to the same schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade and lived only 2 blocks away from each other, and never knew until after college that they were destined to be joined together for the rest of their lives. This is their story.

Meghan and Kevin first met back in 1984. They were both starting Kindergarten at McKinley Elementary School in Appleton, Wisconsin. Kevin noticed Meghan in class and thought she was pretty cute. He figured they should get married someday since they were the shortest boy and girl in class.

After that, they met up briefly at Madison Jr. High School when Kevin was dating a friend of Meghan's. However, it wasn't until their senior year at Appleton East High School that they were able to make a real connection again. It was the 1996-1997 school year, Meghan and Kevin were in the same senior study hall class. Fate had brought them together again! They sat at the same round table with a group of their friends everyday. They both had secret crushes on each other, but neither told the other one how they felt. It was also at this time that Kevin started calling Meghan, "Meg Han", in order to remember how to correctly spell her name.

After high school, they finally went out for a short period of time. Unfortunately, with Kevin in Eau Claire and Meghan in Appleton, it just didn't work out to be so far apart.

Then, in December of 2001, they were invited to go on a culinary trip to Florida. Meghan jumped at the opportunity to go with Kevin, knowing they were finally both single again. She was also hoping this was fate's way of helping to bring them together again, this time forever. As luck, and fate, would have it, it worked! They spent the very first night of the trip in, St. Augustine, Florida. While there, Kevin and Meghan snuck off to take a peek at the "fountain of youth". They had a long, but nice, talk and decided to give things a try. After they got back to Appleton, they officially started dating on January 16, 2002.

As they continued dating and everything was going extremely well, Kevin realized that she was the one he wanted to be with for the rest of his life. In June, they were set to go on a biking adventure called Spoke Folk. So before they left, Kevin asked Meghan's dad for his blessings. Then, on June 29, 2003, the last night of Spoke Folk, Kevin proposed to Meghan. Well, after hearing a lovely rendition of, "Can't Take My Eyes Off You", in front of 30 other people, what girl could resist? She said yes!!! Since then, they have been busy planning their June 18, 2004 wedding.
